Publishing a plan view to PDF in Archicad 9

Hello,

I can publish a 3D view to PDF (from ArchiCAD) just fine, but when I try a plan view, I end up with a PDF file that gives the error "Cannot extract the embedded font ------+ Arial, Italic. Some characters may not display or print correctly" when trying to open it. I then have a PDF drawing with most of the graphics missing.

Any Ideas on this?

Thanks,
Neil

I think publishing is done by ArchiCAD's 'Temporary Publisher' printer driver.
Here you cannot change settings.
If you use the Amyuni PDF driver, you can set several settings.
One of them is to embed fonts into the PDF file.
Maybe you want to try that.

Thanks, for the response. I tried setting the "embedded font" variable to all of the options, with no change. I did do a little experimenting on my floor plan with the text, and had some strange results.
I found that I could print to PDF with no problem with leaders, text, door & window text ect... but as soon as I added a dimension, I got the warning when opening the PDF, and all of my text was gone. I'm using "Arial-Western" font in my dimensions.

It might be related to dimension information.
You should report it to your local reseller who will forward it to GS HQ.
