What is the Dark vs Light Icon in view map meaning

I have an intriguing question.

 

Does anyone know what the Dark vs. Light Icon in the view map represents?

It doesn’t seem to be related to Dark Mode.

Are you on Windows or MacOS? And which AC version are you using?

Maybe you can add this info to your forum signature. 🙂

 

My answer would be: It means nothing. It is just a glitch. I've seen similiar issues with other icons all around.
