can't move window marker

When I select the pink node in the center of window marker, then "move node' in the pet palette, I expect to be able to move the maker, but it will not move. Any advice? seems like a bug.

Dave,

There was a bug in the initial release of version 14 that operated just as you are describing but it was fixed in Library Hotfix #1 (3458). Go to Help>License Information and check the build of your Library. The most recent is 4006.214. Make sure that is up to date first. Try "Check for Updates" under the Help menu as well to see if there are Library updates available for your system.

Best regards.

the program and library are up to date. I realize now that if I start a new file from scratch it works fine, but if I start a new file from the existing project settings it still has the problem, so I guess it is just some bug embedded in this particular file.

Is there any way that this can be fixed? As I said my program is up to date, no updates are available, and I would like to use this file as the template for future projects.

Just came across this post looking for another, but if you are still wondering about this, it is a bug that still isn't fixed. The workaround is to choose the "move object" tool in the pet palette, then immediately re-choose the "move hotspot" tool. It will work until it doesn't, when you have to repeat the workaround.
