customizing the generic label in GDL

The generic label where you can add IFC properties is really useful, but it has some limitations when it comes to what it looks like on the drawings. I'm looking for a way to customizing only how the label appears.

I have studied it in GDL, but my very limited understanding of code is not enough to decipher which parameters I should be looking at.

Can anybody here help me with this? Is it, just as an example, possible to add a code that makes the parameters appear in a single line rather than stack on top of each other?

The generic label is complex and uses macros. I tried to work through it but decided it was quicker to write my own to show what I needed.
