fonts problem in v17

I am working in archicad on a PC. When we publish drawings and open them up on a mac the font is all screwed up this used to only happen with the the rare architectural type fonts but now it is happening with Arial which is one of the most basic.

I cant find where to embed the font on 17 and not sure what that will do to the file sizes.

The program on the mac that opens pdfs is called "preview"

So I think the best thing to do is tell everyone just to download the adobe for mac if they want to see our drawings

This is what we have been telling people with Mac since V17

To view pdf files:

1) download and install this free software:

http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=acr&platform=mac

To print pdf files:
1. Choose File > Print, and then click Advanced.

If you don't see the Advanced button, click the Down Arrow (to the right of the Printer pop-up menu).
2. Select Print As Image.

Hey Mo,
We were having a similar problem where PDFs created in Publisher on Windows would look fine on the Mac screen, but then would print as jumbled text if printed from Acrobat on Mac (printing from Preview was fine, printing from Acrobat on the source Windows machine is fine). We are using Arial and Arial Narrow, nothing exotic.

We applied this fix on our Windows machine and it seems to be working better now:

Only downside is that the PDF files seems to be about 2x the file size, but we can live with that!

cheers,
