it seems simple enough, but when i search to replace nothing is found. are there tricks to this tool? i copied and pasted the text from a label, so i know there are no spelling mistakes, missing or extra spaces and caps issues, but the S&R tool fonds nothing. see pics

what are your Filters settings?
have you included "Labels"?

I am finding even with 'Labels' selected, it is still not finding autotext labels.
This is in version 26.

All viewpoints or selected and yes, labels are checked. I’ll have to see if it is only auto text as Barry finds. I’ll get back to you later.

Here you can see I have placed 2 labels.
One is an object label I have created that reads parameters from the object.
It does get included in the search if I tick the option to include uneditable elements.
The autotext label I placed and manually typed in the information does not get selected.
The other hits in the search are elsewhere in the plan.
This was done in version 22, so if it is still not happening in 26/27 then it has obviously not worked for a long time, and I then don't understand why labels are included in the search.
Barry.

hmm -- i don't remember it happening in 22.
but yes, this is why i don't do some of my text searches in AC, because auto text can't be called up or even found . i have to do it in a combined PDF file, which i keep updated with the most recent drawing revisions. probably because it'll call up the random text string (Property ID?), which can be seen in the screenshots above. can't even be found using Find & Select if i search for "COL". it has to be the (Property ID?)
