Imagine the following case:
You have a new version of an object and with a certain file they need to be in the embedded library.
So you drag & drop the object to the library. You will get asked, if you want to overwrite. You select yes.
Then the following message appears:
(Why would this operation even fail? The daily wonders).
But whats even worse: The object will be deleted from the explorer (sic!) as well.
So be aware that you should never do this, at least until GS fixes this horrible bug.
(Instead first delete the object in the embedded lib, reload the lib, load the new object, reload.)

Thanks for the warning, Lucas!
Are you seeing this only in v24 or older AC versions as well?

Only checked with 24 on Windows 10 so far.

I can confirm this same BS happens on AC24 4007 USA when using a Mac. Discovered this yesterday and confirmed it this morning.

When I opened the file that had this issue today, the latest 4 embedded Objects I had replaced were missing. I know they were there the last time I closed the file yesterday because I was specifically working with two of the Objects.

Dear All,
Thank you very much for your report and I am very sorry for the experience!
This is a known issue in our defect database. Unfortunately, the overwriting process fails, and the process deletes the object from the library!
We hope that this issue will be fixed as soon as possible! I am very sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you very much for your understanding!
Best regards,
Minh
