AV Works 2.1 transparency limit

Richard Swann

While trying out the AV works 2.1 demo on AC8.1R2 (mac OS10.3) I have been attempting to photorender a building view involving lots of glazing at different angles. AV works seams to have a self imposed limit on the transparency of a material- I just get green sludge rather than clear glass for example, or indeed anything that looks like glass unless I return to ArchiCADs own renderer.
Does anybody have any tips on how to get shiny, transparent glass using AV works 2.1?

I am not going to help you here Richard, I just want to say that we have had same problems at our office with glass material in AV works (while beta testing it). I have tried a lot of possible combinations and tweaking but I just couldn't have worked that out at all. Unfortunately there seems to be some dodgy internal definition of it.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Please let us NOT duplicate the posts; this topic is discussed and the solution is offered in the Rendering forum.

If you ask a question somewhere, and you put it in the wrong place, I will move it where it belongs.

Multiple posts do not bring you better answers, they just create clutter.

Thanks,
Djordje
