Hi,
I've been having the same issue since I installed this update. Basically, the crashes happen randomly, sometimes after 20/30 minutes working, sometimes 20 seconds after opening the file. It seems that most of the time this happens when I use a keyboard shortcut to rotate ou move something on a 2D plan (object, wall, etc.), but it's still pretty random.
Yesterday I uninstalled Archicad 28 and reinstalled it with the 28.0.3 update. It seems to have solved the problem.
FYI, the file I've been working with was created and developed on the problematic 28.1.0 update, so there seems not to be a problem with compatibilty.
Hope that helps.

Dear All,
Thank you @calroc11 for the bug ID, it is also the DEF-23306. We investigated the case further, and indeed, the Distance Guides are the reason behind it. Thanks for @Eduardo Rolon and @insideru for the workaround.
The development has identified the issue and working hard on this case. I will get back to you with more info about it in the final version of AC28.1.0. Until that, if you are on the AC28.1.0 Preview (build 4000), please disable Distance Guides to prevent the crash.
Regards,
Tamás

Make sure you send in the bugs, keep note of the bug number and follow it up with your local support.
Very important to do this.

i tried repairing the file, but still the same, i plan to roll back, just wondering if it would not cause issues opening files in the previous update...any backward compatibility issues...

It shouldn't be a problem as a 28 file should be fine in any update version of 28.
But if the new update is crashing then you won't have saved in the updated version anyway.

Dear everyone,
Thank you for reporting the crash issues with AC28.1.0 Preview. @HK ARCHITECTURE, thanks for letting us know the workaround, it is a big help.
In order to investigate the issue, our development will need the Bug Report IDs. Please send in the bug report after the crash, and publish, here the ID that you receive. We'll check them and get back to you.
Thank you for the cooperation and also for the patience with this matter!
Regards,
Tamás
