it looks as though the USA version is different to the INT version in this respect (or maybe just in terminology?)....
with the INT version we have two oversize controls: 'GSOpeningOversize' and 'tolerance'. if the 'GSOpeningOversize' is used the rough opening is lumped in with the door object as a whole and therefore the marker can pick up either the hole in the wall or the leaf size, etc...
if 'tolerance' is used, the oversize is applied as a gap between the door object as a whole and the wall itself. in this case the builders work dimension (rough opening) can't be read without more extensive GDL work. do you have both options? and if so have you experimented to see determine the benefits and drawbacks of each?
using cadimage's 'door and window builder' actually makes this kind of thing a piece of cake too . . .
