Hi ,
I cannot use ArchiCAD 13 that i downloaded from myarchicad.com as a student version. After installing, it says :
Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropraite permission to access the item.
I tried to install it with an installer that i received from my friend, but that problem comes up again. Even if i use : 'execute as an administrator".
Is that a virus problem or anything ?
Thanks for you time,
Hugo

Hi Hugo,
Can you open the software at all? Even in DEMO mode?
Can you advise if you have a current EDU serial number?
Also make sure the date on the computer is correct.

When first running ArchiCAD, it will try to create folders under your user folder (Documents and Settings/USERNAME/) If privileges not allow ArchiCAD to create these folders, then that is a possible cause for this error. Also, some paranoid virus checkers and data safety applications can interfere with this process.
Try to turn off any of such applications before first running ArchiCAD. You can also try what happens if you create a new user on your computer - can you run ArchiCAD in a new user environment?
