Reporting bugs ... ???

Does GS have a system in place where users like myself can report bugs.

I have used AC20 for half a day and have come across multiple bugs but no way to report them. To be honest I would rather see longer time between releases but much better beta testing in place.

AC 20 issues:
- when drawing slabs, the first distance measure in tracker starts at the offset height of the slab. Eg. Set your slab offset at 555 and start drawing. The tracker will begin at 555 after the initial click. After second click the tracker works fine. Extremly annoying.

- 3d camera views seem to not update when working from the view map or project map ... although they work fine when placed on layouts. This could be an issue with views saved from the previous versions and not sure if it's easy to replicate but an issue none the less. Eg. I was going into camera 2, 3, 4, 5 (even making new ones) but the view would always default to camera settings.

Sort of.
Look for the link above the topic name.

I think GS expects everyone to know, after clicking the link, to select your region, input your zip code (in N.A.) and contact your reseller.

Then, your reseller will forward the request to Graphisoft.

Or... for a shortcut... email:
support@graphisoft.com

If anyone at GS is reading this... perhaps you could
fix the link to open one's mail program to the support address?

Thanks s2art and StressCo. Can't say I have noticed the link before.
Having said that I have next to zero trust in this system.

User emails reseller who should in theory forward the report to appropriate party ... assuming know who to forward it to and that they would actually do it. I cannot see that happening. The REPORT A BUG link takes you to a WHERE TO BUY page which isn't really what you expect from the link description.

Jakub,
Do you have a software subscription with Graphisoft Australia?
If so you should be able to log into their support site and lodge a support ticket directly with them.
If it is something they can't help you with or it is indeed a bug then they will escalate it to Hungary.

Thanks Berry. Not a bad suggestion, however some things I just know are a bug ... not something tech support can help with (and forums are normally a much better place to get general AC help anyway ... It would be nice to be able and report straight to developers.

If a bug is reported here I usually forward it to GRAPHISOFT so they know about it.
But normally the standard route is that you contact the reseller you bought ARCHICAD from. You do not necessarily have to click the "Report a bug" link, if you know the contact information of your reseller.

Thanks laszlo.
Just to follow up on the camera issue I mentioned. See attached video.

Correction, it works fine in PROJECT MAP but does very strange things in VIEW MAP. This is literally stopping me from using A20. Please report. I would love to know if there is a fix that I can apply as I am about to start a new project.

So if I understand correctly all cameras of a Camera Path saved as Views will always activate the same Camera, although they are at different positions.
I will report this to GRAPHISOFT.
