I have begun switching our office over to new M4Pro Mac Mini's from our 2017 intel iMacs, the speed increase is incredible, however because of how I had our libraries set up, every existing file I open has errors with where libraries are stored.
The default archicad libraries are fine and come in ok, but we had company libraries like symbols, velux roof lights etc in a separate folder along with logos for master layouts and their path hasn't automatically changed.
The file path is /Applications/GRAPHISOFT/Archicad 27 Solo (Intel-Based Mac)/Penketh Millar Library so now we are running the apple silicone version "Intel based" is gone from the file name.
Is there an easy fix for this? and in future should I store our libraries in a different location?
My current workaround has been to create a folder which is called 'Archicad 27 Solo (Intel-Based Mac)' and just keep a copy of the libraries there, but I worry this might have issues down the line if we build the library further.
Thanks for any help!
John

That is exactly what we used to do prior to uploading to BIMcloud. We have a share set up on the Synology which stores all of our project and office documentation data. Within there is a folder called Technical and then a sub-folder called Archicad Libraries. This is where we store all of the standard and our custom Libraries. You just have to remember to update the Archicad standard libraries whenever an updated version is released.

We use BIMcloud Basic to store all Archicad Libraries but note you are using Solo. Do you have a file server on site? If you do, I would relocate all of your custom libraries to a specific folder location on the file server and then reload them in to each project as you work on them. In the future they should always then be in the same location.

yea there is only 3 of us and mainly smaller domestic so solo works fine for us. We have just bought a Synology NAS drive, so could look to store them on there?

That is what we do. Unsure why you would do it for the standard libraries though.
If only we could use Solo for our projects... We only currently have two licences, but we use Hotlinks and xRefs all the time, which are both unavailable in Solo...

Thanks Lee, think we will go for this and see how we get on moving forward.

We only started doing it for the standard Libraries too as Archicad threw up a warning that we were loading local libraries so we followed the advice of that warning. To be honest, I don't see an issue with using the standard Libraries locally as they update via Archicad. and doesn't rely on someone manually uploading the updated libraries to the server.
