views going to computer heaven

Twice now today I have lost entire saved views. When I navigated to them to open them, first there were no 2D lines, so I closed out of it, then went back, and nothing was in the window! It showed in the navigator preview window (minus the 2D lines) but I couldn't find it anywhere! I turned on all layers and opened every view set, hit "fit in window", but nothing! So I created the section again, and did it all over again. Then it just happened to another elevation. Gone to computer heaven! I'm afraid to use it until I hear from someone. It is a solo project. Can anyone help?

What version of Archicad (release and service pack number) are you on?

That was really common in Archicad 8.0, and been gradually diminishing with each release.

I have seen it from multiple people opening the same PLN file (one opens it to work in, then another opens it Read Only). Don't ask me how or why, but I've actually been able to reproduce it.
