I'm just moving to a new computer and Archicad 28 and getting used to the Library Packs. I've been able to locate and update most things, but what I can't seem to find are all of the 2D symbols that were in the Detailer Library as recently as AC 27.
Is there a Library Pack that I'm missing somewhere that I should be loading? I've loaded all of the available Packs (minus some of the other language Annotation Packs).
I was able to find the Connectors folder under the Object Library/1. BASIC LIBRARY/1.7 2D elements, but I don't see the other symbols, i.e. Holdowns, Joist Hangars, etc. Most importantly, I'm looking for the "DET_Stud 27" equivalent in these new Library Packs. I've attached a screenshot of it from the AC27 Library, if this sounds unfamiliar to anyone.
Thanks for any help,
Joel

Joel:
I opened the AC default template, and the Objects are there in the Archicad Legacy Objects USA.lcf. In the Library Manager, it is under Archicad 28 > Archicad Legacy Objects.

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. I just asked the same question. If I hear anything, I'll respond to your post again.

The DET* library parts were unique to the USA version of Archicad since about version 7. I’m on my iPad now so can’t look for them…but as 2D parts with no macros or anything special… you should be able to extract the LCA from 27 or earlier and add the detailer folder to a 28 project. I think (?).

As Karl said, unique to the USA library.
Which is fine, but now with the global libraries, there should be a 'Detailer Library USA' library package, just as there is a 'Annotation USA' library package.
An oversight by Graphisoft it seems to me.
Now that we have the global library packages, and Graphisoft have said themselves it will be much easier and quicker now to update libraries, it will be interesting to see if, when, how long, it takes to produce this library package.
I am sure it would be useful to everyone, not just USA users.
But it would probably mean that those who want it should request it from their local support.
I have also created a wish for the library pack to be made.

The parts may not be useful to anyone outside of North America as most are not parametric and they are coded with US Imperial unit products that I imagine are not available outside of North America? (2D symbols hand-drawn and selectable from GDL Fragments.) A bigger wish would be to create parametric parts with globally useful sizes/parameters.

David,
You da man! Thank you, thank you, thank you, for finding that library!
It seemed a little strange to me that those objects were be completely eliminated when they were useful to some of us. Apparently, not many of us, but some.
I'm sure they'll be deprecated in the future, but I always thought they were a great tool for detailing.
Thank you again, Sir, SO MUCH. Your efforts are of great service.

Yes! That is exacly what I was looking for also. I loaded all the library packs from the Archicad Library Packages folder only. I didn't load the Archicad Legacy Objects folder. I certainly thank you for your assistance! This is huge for me and my team.
