One way would be to generate an element list for you to get the volume.
Document->schedules and lists->elements lists->General element list

Now I put the coordinates for EXTRUDE command right from realy 2d hatch into the object when my addons work.
And easy we can write square and square without holes else.
If that multiple by height of the EXTRUDE = we have a volume!
