In Archicad 9, it seems the Empty Opening object no longer respects Pen 91 as its Fill Pen, resulting in visible hatches showing on window sills where it is used.
I attempted to edit this object, only to find that it is in ArchicadResourcesLib, which I cannot seem to extract to library parts (let alone re-combine).
Tom,
Knowing the exact name of an object in the ArchicadResourcesLib,
I was able to open it's script without having to extract the library.
I don't know if it is possible to extract this type of "file"/"folder".
It doesn't seem to be either one and I was unable to get "inside" it.
If you know the exact name of the object, have you tried
hi-lighting the name and hitting command+option+O ?
Thanks,
Peter Devlin
Tom,
I never liked how "Empty Opening" worked in all versions of AC
that I have used, so I made my own object that works better.
But I guess that is not an option in your case (other users etc.).
It is frustrating.
Thanks,
Peter Devlin
I wouldn't have a problem, except that we had a few projects that we updated to 9, and all their empty openings went nuts.
We also found SEVERAL files in the library that were renamed, and not found in 9. Namely, they deprecated the .GDL extension in favor of .TXT. Makes more sense, but the objects do not seem to find the new file names.
Tom,
What you are describing reminds me of an issue discussed in
record # 800 in the "articles" at the tr.graphisoftus.com site.
It might be relevant.
Thanks,
Peter Devlin
