Search in Library Manager Not Working

Filing this under bugs, because it doesnt work... or it's unclear what its supposed to be here for. 
The "Search" feature in the library manager does not search the library manager. Obviously there is an object containing the word "Center", but when I type "Center" in the search field, it blanks out the library.
...
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what the search command is for?

I think that search field searches only Libraries.

This is mostly useful with the default library packages, when there are dozens in the list, this search field is useful.

I also loaded the Surface Catalog into the Embedded Library, and the search found all folders and subfolders with the specified name, but nothing in the list of individual library parts within the folders. I am guessing this is by design.
