In the UK you can buy Revit / Autocad LT bundled for £1500+VAT.

Archicad 16 Solo is slightly more expensive at £1700+VAT

Dont get me wrong , I think that Archicad 16 solo is the better deal, however, this gives many offices a possible upgrade path from Autocad into BIM , and will make Graphisofts effort more difficult - at least IMHO

Hmm, ArchiCAD is twittering it is a big day today! And here in the Netherlands you get Bimx with Archicad (although I think it's temporally promotion).

Archicad 17 just got announced......
is this true? there will be a "sketchup" add-on?
What about BIMx? when will that be included in AC (x)?
I hear that hopefully by AC18....maybe?

No...no....perhaps my writing semantics wasn't clear.
BIMx isn't included...at least not that I know of.

I'm thinking that by AC18...BIMx will be part of GS's out-of-the-box package.....what a great tool...BIMx I mean..now if I could only get it to work in the "black and white" mode....(see other thread in the "Presentation" section)

I could be wrong (and I have been, in the recent past about what's included in AC17) but the last item on this page seems to indicate that BIMx is indeed included as part of ArchiCAD 17 as an out-of-the-box inclusion to the program.

If that is the case then this is very unclear, from the brochure:

So....is that advert correct?
AC17 WILL include BIMx as part of the OOB?
Now...will that be for "NEW" AC17 purchases or upgrades from AC16?
GS...please...chime in.
we just purchased a $700 BIMx key and we have AC16 and I do mean JUST purchased one.....and were not told that AC17 would come with BIMx??....so I'm hoping GS would honor a refund..considering we have about a dozen licenses....of Archicad.

WAITING RESPONSE FROM GS.....

I think it would be more appropriate to contact your local reseller about this.
