I thought perhaps I was just crazy since nooone responed to this aging query, but I just checked again, and the behaviour is the same. Working in a unlinked (now simply "Drawing" status, in 9.0), I can't drag-a-copy of a library part.
What am I missing?

I have seen this problem with AC8.1 and teamworked files on certain section windows. You would need to redefine your workspace (without really redefining anything) and it would go away.
No takers!!??!!
Come on!

Doesn't it seem odd, that drag-a-copy is disabled, but Multiply is allowed?????

Reading the last two repsonses, I started to wonder if I am crazy, but after retesting, I think not.

I can successfully drag-a-copy of any 2d library part in a detail window, but in the section window, no.

Thanks for testing, Djordje. I get similar results, but it still seems odd. Contextual menu, dragging after hitting cmd-key (Mac) produces a single copy.
When I look at my undo menu, though, it says Undo Drag Multiply/1.
At all times, the simple Drag-A-Copy menu item and keyboard shortcut are not available.
