Cannot find in the library a standard shower (head and controls) - Standard for any school or exercise facility- shower
We need typical items badly. This can waist an hour finding common items that many times don't exist for Archicad.

This is not an AC Issue but a google issue, you can download most of these objects from their manufacturer sites.

I scripted a simple Object for shower heads and one for shower controls. You can get both (and a few other similar Objects) from my template. Here's a video that discusses the Objects:

If you regularly use a standard set of accessories in projects (shower controls, toilet paper holders, trash cans, etc.) and the default out of the box objects don't meet your needs, I highly recommend learning enough simple GDL to create your own. Most of these objects are just combinations of cylinders and maybe prisms, so they aren't that hard to create, once you learn a few things. If you don't know anything about GDL, the GDL Cookbook will teach you everything you need for these simple objects: https://shoegnome.com/2013/07/17/guest-blogger-djordje-grujic-the-arcane-secrets-of-gdl/

sketchup warehouse can be a huge help. Just make sure you check the polygon count before downloading, then drag/drop into your file to add to the embedded library: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/2c6ccd6f95f8021e3b3cc11e422801ba/Sloan-Valve-AC-450-Act-O-Mat...
if it's something more like this screen shot, it'd be about 30 minutes building it out from scratch (I'd use morphs and shells and save it as an object... if there are common parts and pieces you need, I translate cut sheets to objects all the time; would be happy to help or even give a how to session on basic object development.

I know the answer feels like this tool should have everything you need. I run into this with doors and window. the "why can't I model _____ with the object/window/door/etc tools?"
But the reality is, archicad gives you a starting point. Plenty of projects utilize place holders and call it a day. Those architects leverage spec books and consulting designers to get the actual manuf. specific stuff into the project scope. Many of my clients require manuf. specific content in the architectural model, and will never be satisfied with place holders or close approximations. So I help them develop project and even office specific libraries. Expanding beyond what you get from the out of the box parts is on the user end; there is no way any software is going to provide every asset type possible as objects/blocks/etc.
Every firm I work with has their collection of preferred faucets, fixtures, symbols, etc. that they use in their models and documents.
...
My recommendation, spend 10-15 min. searching for the parts (start with the manuf., then sketchup, then turbosquid). If you can't find the part at a reasonable polygon and level of detail, build it out. If its something you don't need a ton of detail for, consider place holder objects or even the basic shapes library. Look at ways you can use the shell, morph, rail, beam, and column tool to either build super detailed parts (LOD 250-400) or basic massing (LOD 100-200).
For specific shower heads, valves, etc. you just aren't going to get those out of a BIM authoring tool unless you add them yourself.

+1,000,000. Very well said. Couldn't agree more. "Archicad gives you a starting point" love it.

@Eric Milberger ; if you want to check out a ±hour session I did with a few SF based guys on creating custom fixtures, theres a LOT you can do to make super parametric parts with only a very basic GDL knowledge; save as an object, window, door... then copy/paste scripts together and supplement with a few lines of code:

Half of the manufacturers sites I go to either do not provide 3D models, or what they do provide is unusable for various reasons... I assume this is less of an issue for the bigger mainstream manufacturers though. I often need to end up building elements based on a single PDF plan and elevation that are short on dimensions... Caroma used to have ArchiCAD libraries, but they disappeared when they overhaulded the Specify website, and the team that manages that is apparently unresponsive...
