Colour of elements partially selected in marquee AC15

I have just upgraded to AC15 and am have issues when an element is partially selected by the marquee it changes colour/dulls down in the 3d window, is there some way to turn off this "feature".

Take a look at Work Environment > User Preference Schemes > Selection and Element Information > Highlight selected elements' surfaces, you can uncheck this or change the Surface color.

Goto 3d window settings and turn on the TRANSPARENCY

Upon further investigation, I found the real answer - goto 3D Cutting Planes, and check "Use Element Attributes" for the "Fill Material & Edge Pen of Cuts" Setting. Hope that helps!
