That's how I've done it for years. Either face of stud or face of finish depending on the practice.
It's gratifying to know I'm not alone. When I brought this up with a number of other locals all I got was odd looks, although 2 offices I've had some influence, see the obvious benefit.

By the way Matthew, how is/was "sunny" England?

Sorry to ask something that might be too basic for you, but it's still in this subject... How can I edit a slab ending, made with a composite material? I wanted a command like the "wall end" but used on slabs...

you could try the slab accessory - if you're using AC10 go to your help menu and choose 'ArchiCAD 10 Goodies - download the 'accessories' add-on and 'accessories library'. in AC9 it's built in as a part of the installation.

additionally - if you want a more extensive slab edge treatment - try the cadimage accessory tools 'Foundation Builder' (shown below) . . .

Me again... I downloaded the goodie but it didn't seem to be helpful... How should I build, if I want the joints to look like this? Should I put one slab over the other!? And how about the exterior walls joining the slab? How can I make the insulation "cross" the slab?
Sorry if I was confusing....
