Custom curtain wall panel displaying as plain flat

Manik5

Hey, please help!
I'm having a hard time loading a custom made curtain wall panel into a curtain wall. I export the panel made by morph properly according to the steps in tutorials and youtube (select the created panel -> export as curtain wall panel). Then in the curtain wall settings I select the custom panel I made, but it loades as flat, plain surface! I really don't know where do I make a mistake...
Can it be maybe because I'm using a student EDU version? But I thought the possibilities in commercial and EDU versions Are the same...
I found someone asking the same problem a few years ago here in the comunity, but noone replied to him then so I'm trying a new threat here...

Hi,

Could it be that your view MVO is just set to show CW panels as plain surfaces?

This has nothing to do with the student version. I did a test where it works fine. Check that you have chosen the right panel (in red) and that the thickness is set correctly (mm/cm/m?). I did a test where it works fine.

As @LucaP wrote under Model View Options there are settings that control the display of a lot of AC objects. One of them simplifies the display of Curtain Walls so it doesn't matter the complexity of the panel it will show a simple rectangle.

YES. @LucaP it was it. So simple 😄

Thank you

Believe it or not, but even experienced users tend to forget which of the many options influence specific problem 😉

Thank you for accepting my response as a solution, it helps other to quickly refresh the memory 😀
