Group Operation Error ???

I am attempting to put SE 9 windows in a standard wall and getting the following error:
GROUP OPERATION ERROR
at line 876 of file Wa_Trim_US_1- SE 9.gsm

I have 2g of memory with 1g available on XP Pro

The error occurs when I try to open 3D window. The error does NOT occur in other projects so there must be a conflict with something I placed into the project. ANy Suggestions on where to look?

Does the wall the windows are placed in have an SEO on it?


Did you drag the wall in question away from the model to verify the problem Is with the windows and wall or something about where it is placed?

No, no SEOs on that wall...I plucked up one wall with 2 wins and one door and a section marker and moved em off to the side about 40' or so and opened the (newly created) elevation and it gave me the error message 23 times in a row! I think that's a new record. Then I copied those few elements and made a new drawing and pasted and looked and I had only 4 error messages in a row. Hmm. There should be zero, I think, but something fishy is up: between the trim and the walls and the view and the model-space...?

I made a new wall and put in a new window. I then began systemically tweaking it unil it broke...what I found is that if I give a value of Zero to the Rough Opening Extra Horizontal (which, incidentally, I don't really understand the meaning of either), I start getting the error message. I DON'T know what that is though. Anyone?

copy paste will often "fix" a corrupted element even in the same file

do these elements just sort of corrupt on their own?
I just replaced all the windows in this little house I am working on...maybe 20, or so, not a lot, but after each window swap (old and complaining for new and bright) I would look at the facade to check for errors. nothing...I went all the way around the house, one wall at a time, and everything looked good. then when I got BACK TO THE WALL I BEGAN with, I started getting error messages..! just 2 so far, but my max is a whopping 46! I want this to NOT happen, but I can't seem to find any, single variable that needs to be tweaked just So to make it happy. Maybe chocolates would work.

Do you get these error messages, plus your 3D model is wrong?
Or you just get these error messages, but your 3D Model is correct?

Because in the latter case, you can just uncheck the 'Interrupt with Error messages' checkbox in Work Environment and get rid of the whole annoying phenomenon.

The error messages ONLY crop up in section/ elevation; I get NO error messages for the model. However, I don't know if this means that my model is "incorrect" but I just don't get any messages for it, or if the error messages for the S/E are themselves in error...in any case, I have unckecked the box, THANK YOU! but I can't help this nagging, restless feeling that I am just being an ostrich about it. I'd like to solve the problem, but don't know that I--or anyone--can.

Polygon is degenerated.

Check the window parameters ...

I am also having these error messages pop up w/the new SE libraray.
What I've found is if I play around with the sill placement method I can get the errors to stop.
