except for the fact that i had skylights and the corr* iron went straight through it, blocking the sunlight like a shield. My question is...? Is there any way to make holes in the cladding or resize to different angles. I ask as i was unable to use the Select and activate tool!.
any help would be much appreciated
If you do not really need the physical geometry of the corrugated steel (or roof tiles/etc) that the accessory applies over a surface ... just use an appropriate material/texture for your renderings with an appropriate fill that will show up in your elevations, as the extra geometry will slow things down.
I use the standing seam metal roof a bit here (and Duane uses the Spanish tiles a lot in California) ... and like the way it looks in hidden line perspective and certain other views. So, I place it in a 'roof surface' layer that is turned off for everything except those views that must have it - keeping model regeneration time fast.
