How to grab a complex profile from an SEO?

Like the title says, how do I go about and do that? I want to make an old roman coloumn, and to make it I took a large coloumn, and placed several smaller around it, and performed an SEO. However, when I try to grab the complex profile, it only grabs the large coloumn, IOW a full circle, not the result of the SOE...

Any ideas?

And since I'm allready on the subject, is it any way to have my plan view displaying the actual result of the SEO, instead of the large, round coloumn, like it does now?

Thnx, Thag

You would be better off using a complex profile shape for your column. As you have experienced, SEO's do not display correctly in plan except for certain element types (morphs and shells I think).

Or there are standard column objects in the Archicad library.
About the only thing I could suggest is to convert to Morph. (You can use the context menu.) It will then display in plan correctly. You could then explode that to get a fill to use as a profile. Of course, if you want to do the Roman column "right," here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQKm2-cT_QM.

🙂 The dude in the video was far more experienced then I am at the moment! But it was fun watching it though.

I will test both of the advices 🙂
