How to quickly create openning on the siding refer to existing windows and doors

Since I have placed the windows and doors on the walls before siding, so when I model sidings, all the windows and doors are covered by siding. Then I need to create openning for existing windows and doors, is there any way to quickly put openning without input dimmensions one by one for opening but directly trace the existing windows and doors position

You want to use "create openings from selection." Here is Jared's video on how to do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68i6A2ansl4

I use wall coverings so I don't have to worry about extra openings. But for your situation seo is the way to go.

Hi, thanks for your reply, with SEO method windows can't be set as operator, so I don't know how to do it. Could you please share your way in detail of using wall coverings, thanks

Well there are a few options out there but I wrote the gdl for my own covering to be how I want. and to be free, but there is not a ui so it's basic for option setting but I use it for large custom projects every day.

I have an old video of it but I need to make a new one.

Central innovation has some you can buy as well.

For seo you need to make an extra element that matches your window shape, or place a blank window in your siding and match them up.
