Hello, I'm a long time lurker/observer of ArchiCAD (7 years!) and finally pulled the trigger and decided to purchase the program - so you'll probably be seeing a lot more of me as I try to figure things out.
I've decided to start out by rebuilding a familiar project and have a wall that changes thickness where columns are located.
When I just use a different Composite I end up with lines showing up at the wall ends of the different wall segments used to create the different thicknesses.
If I turn off the "wall end" line in the composite walls the corner doesn't resolve itself. Neither does the part that's thicker.
I've attached a few screenshots to help explain.
This is how I turned off the lines at the ends of the walls:
Rather than using a small segment of wall with a thinner inner skin, you could continue the thicker wall behind the column and use a niche to reduce the thickness.
It's a bit neater and you wont have the problem with the missing lines.
When using composite walls you should make sure the wall reference lines connect. In your example this would mean setting the reference line in "Core Outside" position. Then it won't draw the annoying little line between the two different walls.
