Is there a way to off centre a line custom profile

I have a problem with a custom metal profile (Longline) line type that I have created.

The properties of the line automatically go to the centre of the line profile. I would like the line properties to be on the underside of the line profile, not halfway in the rib of the profile. Otherwise I can not use with custom wall profiles etc. and when I use the line in details I have to approximately show the line rather than using snap points.

Any help, or work arounds would be appreciated!

When you create a symbolic line add a hotspot to one side so that it is the same distance as the profile width of your line but on the opposite side of the profile to edge you want as the centre line.
Copy this hotspot along with the lines when you paste them into the symbolic line.
This will create a dummy width ensuring the edge you want as the centre is in the centre.
The hotspot will not print.

Hope that makes sense?

Something I discovered while I was trying to help out in THIS THREAD was the starting point of your copy/paste line elements can determine the origin of your symbol linetype.

Start at 0,0 in model space and that should be the origin of your line type. You should then not have to offset with hotspots.
