Multi-modules railings

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to model multi-modules railings like this (see images below) but I can't find a way to get the curved part in-between each module

My questions are :

  • Is it possible ?
  • If yes, how would I need to configure my railings to get the desired output ?
  • If no, how would you go about modeling something like that ?

First image is where I got. The others are references

I couldn't pick the archicad version and OS version in the menu but I'm on archicad 26 and 28 running MacOS 15.3.2

Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon 15 Sequoia

Hi,

I tried to model something based on your pictures and I couldn't succeed to have independent elements. In theory, there might be a possibility of achieving this with curtain wall tool (only on a horizontal plane) but I didn't explore that very much.

A possible workaround would be to model just one element and just use an array to distribute it (if the railing is on a horizontal plane). If its a stair railing, again, you can manually distribute it on each step.

I can't say I have attempted anything quite like this before.

It could be possible to create a custom balustrade (or maybe a custom post) for that last image (the black railings), turn off the handrails, rails and posts.

Then make sure it is distributed with one baluster or post per tread.

But that could all be a bit messy to do.

For that one I would just model something and distribute it on each tread.

For the first two, you could do them as separate railings for each short segment.

That way you can turn down the ends of each segment because it would be the start and end ao an entire railing.
