Only changing material in renovation filter

Help! I would like to be able to change the material of walls without having to re-construct each one when using the renovation filters. I.e changing a brick finsihed wall to clad finsihed wall within new construction.

I can see this has been previously discussed as a matter but I am still using Archicad 16 so I wondered if there as an alternative solution instead of using graphic overides as I don't belive I have this available on my software.

Operating system used: Windows

If you don't want to use renovation filters, then you will have to create multiple plans (files) for existing, to be demolished, new, etc.

Or create multiple layers and layer combinations to control the various stages.

Do you know if it is possible to change the material only between existing and new within the renovation filter function?

You cannot replace materials with the renovation filter. Composite walls cannot be partially modified either; you can only demolish them completely or create additional openings. If you want to modify one part of the composite, it is best to draw it from different elements so that you can demolish an entire shell and replace it with a new one. You can place the window in the wall that is not being demolished, and place empty openings in the other wall (fold and new).
