This wish is regarding an ability to edit multiple sub-components at once such as multiple rails or baluster segments.

You can't do this in the rail settings itself.
But you can go into EDIT mode and select multiple components.
Then you can edit the settings for those components.
However if you do not select all the same components in each segment you will get "Custom Segments".
And there is no way to select all the rails at one go, each one must be manually selected.
