Selection dots not appearing

downloaded a new driver for my video card; was getting tracers on the screen when installed the AC9 upgrade. Now no selection dots appear when I select items, or editable dots either. Hopefully, this is a setting I'm not familiar with somewhere and not another driver problem.

Any help?

Still sounds like a driver problem ...

Which system? Which video?

It is a driver problem. Had to turn down the hardware acceleration slider on the display setting. Not sure what hardware acceleration is, but turning it down worked.

Holding my breath to see what happens to other programs I have on the machine. It seems fixing one thing screws up something else.
