When you say nothing happens, what window are you in? Your plan window or 3D? If you are in your plan window you won't see anything happen. But if you are in 3D or section window you should see some thing happening.
Cheers.

I don't remember whether the instructions tell you to put your operator objects on a separate layer. In order to see anything, you'll have to turn that layer off, or turn it to wireframe in the layer settings dialog box...

Could someone explain how this works. I have tried to add two slabs together going through the directions given by archicad but it does not work, nothing happens!
In that case ytou don't need SEO. Select one of the slabs with the slab tool active, hold the mouse button on an edge so that teh pet palette pops out. Choose the icon with the polygon and + sign, space click on the slab that you want to add. Done.
Works for all the polygonal tools (fills, slabs, roofs, meshes, zones)
