Squidg for short?!!? You select your roofs on each story, in the roof tool select 'show on all stories' and you'll be able to see those guys. They might overlap one another but that can be overcome with fills. Because this is a presentation site plan, you could also go into your 3D, take a really steep aerial view and cast a light shadowgiving a textured plan, you know, if you want.

If all of your roofs are on the same story, you could just put all your site information on the roof story. If you have 3D information, just elevate it down the distance of the combined stories. Then just use layers to show what you want.

Quick'n'easy!

Cheers,

It seems like I need the roof plan to show up in lots of places. Even the foundation plan sometimes to help me illustrate the load points. To make a quick set of roof lines to be used anywhere, view the roof from the top using the Internal 3D Engine so you can see it in Hidden Line mode then using the marquee tool (pick the last mode on the right of the marquee pop-up) and click Edit-Copy and then Past it into your plan. Group the lines and use your layers to turn it on and off.
I do this because I usually want the roof line types to be different for the various places that it shows up. Also, it is easy to resize it to the site plan scale or other.

Sometimes I paste the roof plan into the symbol drawing of a library part. This way I can insert only the hotspots I need without all those pesky lines getting in the way, and I can control the pens to a degree.

One time I even made a special mask fragment so I could use the same part to show the roofs cut below the attic plan. A bit fussy but pretty cool.
