Wall and Slab Intersection in Section

How can I make a Wall and a Slab intersect properly in section?

I made a compposite wall and a composite slab with the same priorities and fills and I have "Enable Skin Priorities" switched on.

In the section window they intersect proprly only when the Slab touches the Wall. When the Slab touches the inner Composite's line they do not intersect at all!

Now I need to know how you actually build this. Is the wall concrete like the slab or some other material.
Is it built in one go or is one pre cast the other insitu?
Do the slab lines (or do you want to) show in elevation
It really interesting as we would never take the slab out the the outer face of the wall these days... what circumstances would you use this detail?
Sounds like I'm playing for time

This is the best result I have achieved so far:

- Single-story walls. So we get back to AC9 modelling!
- Bottom wall with Composite Fill.
- Top Wall with Complex Profile. Origin is below the Story Level. So we have to set the wall to show to "Home Story Only", otherwise we get dashed contours . This also makes it impossible to use multi-story walls!
- Slab has to be manually sent to back.
- When we save as DWG we have to manually clean the intersection as all the lines, hidden by the fills, will appear on the drawing. So I usually do a lot of clearing in Autocad afterwards!

For proper representation we have to SEO the wall with the Slab. This is an extra operation we have to perform for each wall and slab on every story. I just do not have enough time for this!

Sorry Kliment. I really didn't read carefully your post...
I still think you can do it faster with a simple beam...
But if it works for you that's ok too...

Oh, it doesn't work at all! I still haven't found a proper way to make it work!
I'll give the beam a try with the next project!

Just another shot...
Did you try the Cadimage acessories tool?...
If I well remember it's called "Foundation Tool".
It can create a custom beam in slab edges. It's very parametric...
Maybe it can give the result that you want.

David,
I would need to do it the same way Kliment described in his post after you last post. No easy solution for us yet:

The Walls are not concrete, they are built after the Slab (it is a building resting on concrete Columns and Slabs).
The Slabs go to the outer surface of the Exterior Walls, plus both the Slab and the Walls have insulation in front of them. Because of this, the Slab does not show in elevation because the insulation is in front of it.

Thank you, Paulo, I will have a look at the Cadimage tool!

Yesterday I came to the conclusion I cannot use a Beam.
I need the countour of the Slab exactly where it is now - 5 cm to the inside of a 25 cm thick wall. I model the Slabs on a separate layer with all the installation openings in them and I send this contour to the Structural Engineer. If I move the Slab contour line to the inside of the wall for the sake of the model I will have to redraw a new contour with a polyline and redraw all the opening again!
I prefer the traditional way - to explode the sections!

Hi Kliment.... can't believe you'd prefer to explode the section... if yo're going to do that then just use the detail in section and forget about everything else.....
As I came into this discussion late perhaps you could show me exactly what you're trying to build

David, it is a reinforced conctere structure with columns and slabs without beams and brick walls with 5 cm outside heat - insulation. Slabs stop to the outside edge of the walls and also have 5 cm insulation. Slabs are 18 cm concrete and 6 cm floor finish.

Sounds simple! 😉

Here is nice link to study.

In my opinion it is better to think phase to phase.
In preliminary study it doesn't care what the walls looks in the section.
In the late phase it is very easy to correct, for exampl with SEO.
