Hello everyone,
I'm having an issue with getting a floor element to display correctly in a cutout I made for a window niche. I'm hoping someone can spot what I'm doing wrong.
My Setup:
I have a Level with basic walls.
I placed a Slab for the main structure of the floor.
I have a Window that includes a niche.
To model the finished floor, I placed a Floor element on top of the structural slab.
The Problem:
The window's niche correctly cuts a hole out of the Wall. However, the Floor element on top of the slap is not following this cutout.
In the 3D view, I can see the floor running straight through the niche.
In a Section, the same issue occurs; the floor doesn't stop at the niche opening.
What I've Tried:
I used the Cut Opening tool from the Floor's context menu to manually trace the niche opening from the window.
I confirmed the cutout is there in the Floor Plan.
Despite the cutout being present in the plan view, it is not generating in the 3D model or sections.
My Question:
Why would a manually created cutout in a Floor element show correctly in the plan but not generate in the 3D view or sections? Is there a specific setting or priority I'm missing? Or is it just a bug on the program?
Thanks in advance for the help,
Hector

Thanks Barry for the tip.
I was experiment and it works as it should when you use the opening instead of the niche, looks like the niche behaves as a wall for the floor.
Now it´s too late because i made before all the windows with the niche options and i do not think i have the time to fix all of them with the openings.
Thanks anyway,
Hector
