demo door only

I have an existing wall where I want to keep, but I want to demo the door and show the door as dashed. Is there a way to do it without doing "Edit>reshape>explode in current view"?

Use your renovation filters.
The wall is set to 'Existing'.
The door is set to 'To be Demolished'.
Select a renovation filter that 'Shows' existing and 'Overrides' to be demolished.
Make sure your 'To be Demolished' filter is set to a dashed line type.
