The same way as you save any other view, into your View Map (I have a folder within it for 3D views). It stores camera position, 3d window settings, render settings, sun position etc. too.

And the old way, relocated in the menu structure, placing a camera into the plan.

The point was that saving the 3D view does NOT place the camera in current or any other path.
3D gaming is one thing. Architectural photography is something different.
