Yes it is possible.

You can easily work on the same floor on different layers. There is no important limitation if the file is arranged well…

You can "less easily" work on the same floor on different "area". When you change your "reservation" in the team work you select the zone on which you want work. then you can only work on this area…

you can also combine the two ways of making…

Hello Wr1nkles

Try to explain…

If you choose a layer option —with layer that you choose to pick up in use for you and other that you don't select— the other users can pick up all the "free" layers in the same floor.
To pick them they need to change their workspace and choose the layers available. The "conflicts" are marked by a specific sign.

If they have a multi floor workspace, they can only choose all same layer for each floor. Then if you choose the layer option only one user can pick up a layer in a floor.

I hope that i am clear .

hi wr1nkles,

scenario: nobody is in the project and you are the first one to ckeck in:
when you see the "whole area option" you can draw a polygon with the marquee tool. when it is drawn, the "individual area" option should be choosable.

of course, if other people of the team are already loged in, and the first user has reservated the whole area, this will not work!
so you have to organize it in your team, that everyone only reservates the area he/she really needs to work.
the "individual area" option is very powerful: you are also allowed to draw elements outside your area. next time you send and update, you will be asked, if you want to be still owner of those elements or if you want to give them to the other user in which area the part is located.

check it,
best regards, gerd
