I just downloaded and installed ArchiCAD 28 and I get the same message regarding Cineware rendering engine quitting that I got with the 28 Technology preview:
Operating system used: Mac Intel-based

Did that as well. No luck.

I attempted another solution which was to install a fresh copy of Archicad on a separate partition running macOS 14.8.1 Sonoma, and then running Archicad from that partition. This solved the problem, and I was able to render with Cineware successfully!
I then backed up and reformatted my entire hard drive and downgraded to OS 14 and reinstalled Archicad again with the same result. So there appears to be a conflict between OS 15 Sequoia and Maxxon. Just thought I would let people know that this is a workaround, albeit not an ideal one, but it does allow you to render, which was crucial to me.

It is an issue with macOS Sequoia. I’m running Sequoia and Tahoe which had the same issue but replacing the Cinerender folder and removing the Redshift folder from within resolved the issue for me and Conetender Cinerender works on both systems with both intel and M processors.

I am still having this issue. I just installed the new cinerender file from the link. I also deleted the webroot application because there was some talk that it might be the culprit. That did not help either.

Lee Hankins advises to delete the 'Redshift' folder from within that 'Cinerender' folder and says that works.

We have Webroot installed on our system and Cinerender still works.

Once you’ve deleted the Redshift folder you just need to make sure not to select the ‘Redshift’ rendering engine inside the photorendering window settings. If you do Archicad will hang for ages and then default back to Cinerender. I believe this is all planned for a fix in Archicad 30.

To be nit picky it is an issue with Cinerender not with Sequoia. This is on GS not on Apple to fix.

Yes that’s correct. That’s why Graphisoft have said they are fixing the issue in Archicad 30.

Hi Karel, his link seems not functioning anymore. I am workin on MacOS Sequoia (intel processor). Problem with Archicad 29 and 28 before: I should fix them both. Could you please post another link? Thanks!
