Transparency in sketch render

I am having an issue where a model initially sketch rendered glass with transparency off - but now will only render with transparency on.

Is there a setting, other than the transparency toggle in the 3D window Settings, that controls transparency in a sketch render?

You should update to build 4020 of AC18. This was a bug that was fixed in this latest update:

Nope, not it. My signature is just out of date - my archicad is fully up to date.

So you are saying that you still have transparency issues with Sketch rendering even in AC18 update 4020?
Can you give step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce it?
The guys at GS would probably be interested in it.

Yup, that's what I am saying. The funny thing is I have an earlier rendering I did in the project that worked fine. It has just stopped working recently - so I thought I changed some setting without realizing it.

Procedure is pretty straight forward. Go to a saved 3D view with transparency turned off. Go to the render settings. I have a predefined sketch render style that I use so select that (I also tried a number of the predefined sketch ones as well with the same result), and set it rendering. A few seconds later, I have a render by the windows are all transparent in the render. They are still opaque in the 3D window view. They do render opaque if I use the CineRender engine rather than the Sketch render engine.

I will have to try in a different project to see if it is just this one, or if it is all of them. But that is probably tomorrow's activity.

Glad to know I am not alone. I have yet to try in a different project. Perhaps today.

We are having the same issue, it doesn't seem to be possible to complete a sketch render with opaque glass unless you manually modify the surface to be opaque. We are also using build 4020.

Hey, has anyone had any luck on this since? I'm still having unwanted transparency in my sketch renderings, and am hoping someone has found a way around this. I'm on build 4020 as well.

Thanks for your help!

We are experiencing the same issue, with different results on different computers. 3 PCs, all AC 18 Build 5100. From the same PLN, 2 PCs will complete the sketch render with transparency, and one does not.

Any thoughts?

Can provide further info if needed.

Thank you!
