Algebra on coordinate input:
This is a very simple program modification to allow users the use of +-*/ while entering a coordinate.
Please see Vector Works.
I think is very little effort for you at Graphisoft and very useful.
Thanks

If someone can figure out a better way, I would be interested to know about it.
This doesn't work for me at all. I wonder if a tracker setting in the work environment changes the behaviour?
Also, what does the 'mark position' function in the tracker actually do??

Just as convoluted.
But you could place the cursor back at the location of the start of your line.
Then ype "A" and input an angle and then "R" and input the distance.
Use "+" & "-" to your hearts content in any of these fields.

I think your trick of typing "AR" is better as you can pre-define the direction first with the mouse.

It will simply mark the location with a guide line rather than actually drawing your line (or wall or whatever tool you have active).
