I think it would be cleaner if all open windows would show up as a tab at the top or bottom of the screen like Autocad or Sketchup!

Nice idea as long as it works with Mac Expose and/or you can "tear off" tabs.... I tend to have a lot of windows open at one time, sometimes side-by-side.

Anchoring views is a very useful feature. After the Cinema or LightWave interfaces, ArchiCAD is quite dated and inefficient.
