When using archicad lights, we often use the built-in text of the 2D
symbol to show a light type, which is on the luminaires schedule. I
would like to see a checkbox added to the 2D appearance UI to allow that
text to be taken from the light's elemen...
This is a relatively simple one. I am constantly selecting elevation and
section markers by mistake when working in the floor plan, because they
all have hotlines at the cut line, and also at the near and far clip
lines. My wish would be for these ho...
Having the option to use custom components such as door panels, knobs,
curtain wall panels, window sashes, etc is quite useful and a great way
to customize a library part. This feature would be even more useful if
the GS library objects were designed...
As noted in the title, if you create a new GDL object, check 'save as
subtype', create another object that uses this subtype to inherit a set
of parameters, and then make any changes to top-level object, any
objects that use that subtype immediately ...
As far as I understand, the Archicad-Grasshopper live connection add-in
is communicating with Rhino over a TCP connection over port 19723, (by
default). I'm curious if anyone knows any details of exactly what format
the message is in. My guess is tha...
In a schedule, I would imagine that you'd have the option to pick which
field of the table record should be displayed, similar to how
classifications can be displayed by Id, name, or description
This is a really well-explained proposal, and I can think of many
applications - luminaires, furniture, millwork, storage systems, really
anything which can be fully described in the specifications and just
needs a symbol on plans to show its locatio...
Yes! We don't always use slabs as floor slabs, or beams as literal beams
- so there shouldn't be so many imposed restrictions on visibility
across stories. There are other areas where the tools are inconsistent -
beams for example can't display cover...
I agree with this! One way to implement this would be that every object
records its associated favorite as a built-in parameter value, which you
could use as a selection filter. But selection filters don't always
catch everything depending on view se...
I ran into the same problem, don't think it can be done. I use the
projected display under the curtain wall's Floor Plan and Section
settings, and code the custom panel to show a different model when
GLOB_VIEW_TYPE = 2 (plan view).
