I am looking for info on how to properly label objects/walls/doors, etc in the ArchiCAD file that can be picked up in the Revit applicaton.
Thanks.

Can you hear the sound of your post echo? That should give some indication of how many people are using IFC 😉 - As for labelling, what have you tried? Label markers that call the name in the ID field of Archicad elements/objects?

I have lost a job because the IFC did not go properly to ETABS - apparently, to no fault of Archicad, as the export result was perfect in any of the IFC viewers tried.
Therefore, as Andy says, there is still a LONG way to go before IFC is fully usable.

Thanks for the info. I kind of thought I was looking into a black hole with the IFC. Currently trying to use the IFC translation but it seems that our CM may just use ArchiCAD instead, which is better for me. Does anyone know of any successful BIM projects using ArchiCAD and/or Constructor?
Thanks!
Thanks!

And the point of contact should probably be Ben Wallbank, one of the Directors and a seasoned Archicad user
