Yes I can open it but AC 9 does not have the options of AC 12.

in my sense, you have to upgrade it step by step.
you have to open it in AC 10, and save as an AC 10 file.
then open in AC 11, and save as an AC 11 file.
then you can open it in AC12
you have to open it in AC 10, and save as an AC 10 file.
then open in AC 11, and save as an AC 11 file.
