Graphic Overrides on Window Trim

Anonymous
Not applicable
I cannot seem to get window trim to change surface with a GO. I can only do the entire window, glass included. Has anyone tried this, and/or got it to work?

GO was not created as a materials override tool, it was originally developed for the purposes of highlighting structures with particular property values e.g. fire rated walls could be highlighted in a particular colour. So to answer your Q, it will not work as a means of changing sub materials in windows.

The same goes for wall, roof and slab materials. Any override will override the object in its entirety.

Hello, has there been any development with the GO tool to work with sub surfaces on things like window trims?

No, nothing new on that front. Would be nice though.
