Hi,
I am trying to finally integrate keynotes to streamline our workflow, but I am struggling with the Label tools. They feel overly complicated for what I need.
All I want to save as a keynote is simple text only, with each category having different type of label or colored font. Plain. When I do save it let's say pluming would be Blue, and appliance would be green.... and I save the plumbing in blue first, then I can't really recolor the appliances. When I do so , everything else change to the latest version.... I am so confused how this formatting works but it's pretty un-intuivite. Any help please?
Is there any option to use different frame shapes for labels or keynotes, such as a circle or a hexagon, or at least a circle?
I saved the Label on a specific layer intentionally. However, when I place the saved keynote on the floor plan, it appears on a completely different layer than the one it was saved on. Why does this happen, and is there a way to preserve the original layer?
At this point, it feels like keynotes are either incomplete or not the right tool for what I need. Is there another way to save reusable annotations as simple framed text with a specific layer assignment? I assumed this would be done with keynotes, but maybe I am missing something.

Keynotes only refer to the actually key, title and description. no colours or formatting is stored with them.
you'll need to setup favourites for each label type you want, (and ensure the elment transfer settings are applying the correct label settings)
you can save the favourite with a keynote stored in it as well, so blue P1, pink D1, etc...

Could you post a few images to illustrate what the exact graphics and look and content you would want to achieve are?

I use three different Keynote styles:
Framed text with schedule number (different frame colors per schedule)
Plain text
Text with arrow
Each is saved as a Favorite and intended for a different schedule group.
Issue:
When I change or place one Keynote style, Archicad updates all Keynotes globally. Styles do not stay isolated per schedule or Favorite, so frame colors and arrow settings keep getting overwritten.

weird. the keynotes are just labels; so they shouldn't be connected to anything global. are things grouped when you edit?

Yes so basically, let's say I am going to add "plumbing" which is P with blue frame... and then I want to add Detail which is text with pink frame, it would add the latest used (blue) instead of the pink... It would not be like.... automatic. Even though I have saved it as that. I spent a lot of time saving it styled on purpose and I thought that it suppose to work as that. Right?
For you it works correctly? Could you share how did you saved the type of style for your keynote groups?Maybe I did it wrong. but I really can't see what I could do wrong there is not many things to mess up 😄
